I have just updated to Ubuntu 11.10 and when I checked GNS3 I found it would not start virtualbox in either 0.8.1 or 0.8.2, I get the error message "Failed to load vboxapi module; Please check Virtualbox Installation", which I did and I found I had to redo my microcore vdi, I did this and I still get the same message, GNS3 and VirtualBox both seem to work fine separately, does anyone know if Ubuntu 11.10 has move files to different locations, that's all I can think of.
