hi, I´m working with GNS3, I'm new with this tool, so I just try static routing with the swithc level 3 3725 and 3745, I try to emulate a network redundancy with routing static, this is my configuration

R1 <-->R2
| | R1 <--> R4 AND R2<-->R3
R3 R4

I dont use routers because I use vlans, the problem is when I start the swith and show the interfaces status all interfaces are up, in the real life that is false, the status should have up just only when a wired is conected, my problem is when I down the interface on R1 that communicate with R3, R3 don't down its interface, so it generate loss of packets.

R1# sh ip int br
Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status Protocol
FastEthernet0/0 192.168.9.253 YES NVRAM up up
FastEthernet0/1 192.168.5.253 YES NVRAM up up
FastEthernet1/0 192.168.0.253 YES NVRAM up up
FastEthernet1/1 unassigned YES unset up down
FastEthernet1/2 unassigned YES unset up down
FastEthernet1/3 unassigned YES unset up down

I don't know what happen or how I can solutionate. Someone can help me?
