hello,

I have GNS3 running on Ubuntu 12.0.4. I created a 3750 router inside GNS3. I created 2 subinterfaces on the Router and applied encapsulation. I pointed that FA0/0 interface of the 3750 router to a "CLOUD". That "CLOUD" is technically Port 1 of my QUAD NIC.

I configured my switch port for Trunking. and created both Voice and Data VLAN.

I can between my Phsycial 3560 switch and my GNS3 build router.

But when i plug a Computer into the switch and set the correct IP within my Subnet. I can't ping the pc from the switch. Nor can i ping the Router?

Any clue?

What type of interface did you use in GNS3 to connect the cloud to the virtual routers? In Ubuntu I found that tagged packets were dropped when going through nio_Linux interfaces. Instead use nio_gen.

Also, some network adapters strip tags or drop packets with tags depending on the driver installed. I have no experience with quad port NICs, but I know that many of them work just fine for connecting to real switches. I have had several adapters that I had to use a few different versions of drivers before I found one that worked well.

Try some wireshark captures to see where your packets are getting lost.

Also, it's worth mentioning that you did not setup a 3750 router. A 3750 is a switch. 3725 or 3745 are the options in GNS3 for a 37XX device.
