Hello Jason / Nickbee,

Have you able to install QEMU for ASA in Linux Mint 64 bit processor. I have been trying for 2 weeks.

Versions:

GNS version: 0.8.4-1~1
Dynamips: 0.2.8-1~1
Qemu: 1.1.2+dfsg-2

I am seeing "python /usr/share/gns3/qemuwrapper.py"

----------

After this I console to ASA, my telnet session hangs.

Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to 127.0.0.1.
Escape character is '^]'.

I spent time to read all the posts. But could not pin point to address my problem.

Regards,
Radha

Also, when I try to create the ASA, for the first instance, I get the below message.

"qemu: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.15' not found (required by qemu)
qemu: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.14' not found (required by qemu)

Please help.

Thanks
Radha

Hi Radha,

I've compiled/run QEMU on Mint 32, but I can't remember if I've done it on the 64-bit version. I'm downloading Mint "Cinnamon" 64-bit right now and I'll get back to you in a few hours, or tomorrow (US PST).

***** <EDIT/UPDATE>*****

QEMU-0.14.1 64-bit runs without a hitch. This is one of the QEMU versions I compiled for the GNS3 project and it can be downloaded from http://www.gns3.net/qemu. The installer is called Qinstall. I tested it using Mint Cinn. 64-bit using an ASA and Juniper Olive. The devices can ping each other so I think all is well. :D

Thanks,
Jason
