The two new logo proposals are both ugly, 2D looking theme, with digital design.

Much better would be an analog 3D design, which is the old (current) logo. It is much more beautiful.
Please don't change logo.

I'm in agreement with with Technologov. I'm quite fond of the original logo; for me it represents the GNS3 brand, as any good logo should do.

I DO think it's time for a new logo. But the choices were disappointingly uninspiring!!!

Besides. I think the new logo should say GNS4 rather than GNS3!!!!!

[Did I just hijack this thread? - Sorry]

Yes, we also think it is time for a new logo and we want it to be simple. I understand change is not always easy, especially for long time users who tend to resist it (countless examples in the software industry). Any suggestion is welcome but unfortunately I don't think we can have everyone happy too.

I disagree, changing to GNS4 would be a mistake. Everyone knows to the software as GNS3, this is very well established in people's mind and changing this would take a considerable effort.

The 2 choices for new logos are ugly. I refuse to vote for either one. Give us the option to choice neither or the old logo. This will give you feedback on how much your demographic really likes the new logo choices.

Hey Everyone

Before doing this vote, we had another vote to parse down all the logo submissions to two candidates (out of about 15 candidates). In that batch of logos, we included our old logo as well. The two logos that were left were far and away the winners - the old logo didnt even crack the top 5. If you are wondering why you didnt get to vote in the first one - I selected it so that those who voted in the first one - couldnt vote in the second one - and vice versa. Fresh eyes and fresh votes. All of this was random selection.

But dont fret - the New logo is just for training and stuff and we won't be doing any massive changes. I doubt anyone will see the new logo unless they download our lab packs.

Jeremy's and my intention was never to upset the community - we are just two guys trying to create great software. We are probably going to do somethings that will upset some - but we also try really hard to do the best we can.

All we ask is for patience when it comes to this and to understand that we are not Branding people and we are trying to do this the most democratic way as possible.
