Hi,

first my apology for this noob question. I just started with the v1 release.

IOU device is working. I configured 2 routers when named John and the other one Jade. I configured a bit, saved the run config (write mem) and then saved the project. After that started a new project and as soon as i put a new IOU in the topology, the first one is called John and the second one Jade??

Why is this? i even tried to start with a base config from settings, but still shows up with John and Jade and the ip configuration.

I'm not sure bit I'm guessing that you didn't actually save the first topology you created, so temporary files were stored in your temporary directory rather than your "projects" directory. When you created a new topology, it just re-used the old files.

Remember this is alpha code - but still worth noting

I have this same problem with Beta2.

I am using a Windows client against an Ubuntu server. Even if I close the client and then re-open it with a new blank project the IOU device retains the config from the last project. It gets worse though, if I save the config in the new project then it also overwrites it for all the other projects that previously used it.

Do you use temporary projects or do you create a project every time you start GNS3?

I'm experiencing the same thing using Beta3 in Windows 7 Pro. Since I started using the Beta versions, the IOU devices I use in every new project I create contain the configuration of the last project I save. The result is that I cannot save separate projects.
