Hello community!

I am currently encountering a bug and wanted to know if anyone has found any way to get around it.

I have a 4 lab setup all running from the same IOU image (15.1 L2 image), and I have noticed that the devices are using the same MAC addresses in most instances! Is there any workaround for this?

As a note when i top the VM I'm seeing that each instance of IOU has a unique PID. I'm not sure how/if that helps, however I feel it is worth mentioning.

Below is snippets from my sessions on two of my 4 switches. I currently have each one running with a hostname, and have IP Routing disabled (no need to use it in this particular lab)

Code:

!From first switch
!
DLS2#sh mac address
          Mac Address Table
-------------------------------------------

Vlan    Mac Address       Type        Ports
----    -----------       --------    -----
   1    aabb.cc00.0100    DYNAMIC     Et0/0
   1    aabb.cc00.0301    DYNAMIC     Et1/0
   1    aabb.cc00.0311    DYNAMIC     Et1/1
   1    aabb.cc00.0320    DYNAMIC     Et0/0
   1    aabb.cc00.0330    DYNAMIC     Et0/0
Total Mac Addresses for this criterion: 5

!From second switch
!
DLS1#sh mac address-table
          Mac Address Table
-------------------------------------------

Vlan    Mac Address       Type        Ports
----    -----------       --------    -----
   1    aabb.cc00.0301    DYNAMIC     Et0/0
   1    aabb.cc00.0311    DYNAMIC     Et0/0
   1    aabb.cc00.0320    DYNAMIC     Et0/2
   1    aabb.cc00.0330    DYNAMIC     Et0/3
Total Mac Addresses for this criterion: 4

Anyone willing to let me know how to "fix" this problem? It is preventing my devices from talking to one another (mac address mismatches are awesome...)
