Hello All,
I got an IOU device (Switch) to work in GNS3 Beta3.
Previously I was getting License issues. The generic iourc.txt file did not work for me.
I saw something about the keygen.2.py needed to be ran in Python 2.x.x.
That was it for me. I installed Python 2.7.6 as an altinstall and it worked.
I ran "sudo python2.7 keygen.2.py" It spit out a license file.
I pasted that into the iourc.txt -saved it- and restarted the Ubuntu 14 machine.
The next time I tried to bring up an IOU device (switch) it just worked.
BTW you do NOT need a VM to get this to work.
YEA!! That took three days to nail down.
Anyway, Switches in GNS3…VERY COOL.
I know that not all features are available but it's cool in any case.
Thanks for all the posts for the install in Linux.
