Hi guys. I figured out how to get my GNS3 router connected to my live network. I can ping from the Cisco router in GNS3 to the outside network and the internet. I cannot, however, reach my GNS3 topology via another computer on my home network.
The loopback interface on my PC is 192.168.137.1 and the virtual router in GNS3 is .2. My home network is a 192.168.1.0 network. I can ping from the .137.2 router to my home default gateway (192.168.1.1). The GNS3 router has a default route (ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.137.1). I assume I need to add a new static route on my Verizon home router so I can ping from a device in the 192.168.1.0 network and have it reach the .137.0 network.
However, I am unable to get it to work. I attached a picture of how I have to add a route on the Verizon router. I am unsure of what the "gateway" is in this situation. The loopback address? I have tried a few different options, but still cannot ping from my real 192.168.1.0 network to the 192.168.137.0 network. Any ideas?
