No matter what IOS and router I use I keep getting the same error when starting the router

R1: error from server 127.0.0.1:7200: 209-unable to start VM instance 'ghost-c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE6.bin-127.0.0.1.ghost'

The 3750 isn't a router, it's a Catalyst switch. 3750s aren't supported by GNS3.

Try a 3725 or 3745 image.

I have tried both and I still get the same error message. I have tried all the images that I have and I always get the same error message. I even tried to uninstall and re-install and still the same thing.

Hmm... is this GNS3 0.8.7? If so, test that Dynamips is running: edit -> preferences -> Dynamips -> test settings. It will tell you if Dynamips can start successfully.

Also try running it without the "Enable ghost IOS support" option.

Apparently this issue (209) can be caused by: using some images uncompressed, wrong path, inadequate permissions, or simply trying to use an image with the wrong type of router.

There is NO WAY you will ever get the image "c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE6.bin" to work on any GNS3 device

What images did you try? Did they begin with names like c3725.... or c3745.....
