Having installed GNS3 I noticed that most of the equipment is greyed out.
I checked with the forum and followed the HowTO guide.
It would appear that during the installation process the images were not installed as they do not appear in the 'image file' folder.

This is what shows in my version following installation:

Everything is greyed out except for:
-Ethernet Switch
-Ethernet Hub
-ATM Bridge
-ATM Switch
-Frame Relay Switch
-Host
-Cloud

Here is some of the equipment I wish to use with GNS3.
I list them top down as they appear in our main cabinet.

Cloud ;-) to:
Alcatel-Lucent OS6250-8M OmniSwitch
Cisco ME 3400E Series Router
Palo Alto PA-3020 Firewall

Main switches:
HP2920-48G J9728A
HP2810-48G J9722A
HP2810-48G J9722A
HP 2510G-48 J9280A
HP 2626-24+2 J4900A
HP V1910-24G JE006A

Ruckus Zone Director + 25 x 7962 Wireless Access Points

We are Setting up VLANs and are hoping that GNS3 will help us in many ways.

If anyone is able to advise me I would be most grateful.
Many thanks
Larry Walker

Note/Update: I didn't appreciate that getting hold of IOS Images was not easy. This makes using GNS3 unworkable for our VLAN project.
Does anyone know of any software that would help us to document/simulate VLANs?

How to solve your Greyed out Routers: topic7117.html

And from: topic18.html

Can you provide a Cisco IOS image to me?

No, we are not allowed to distribute any IOS image. You will have to find one by yourself, this should not be a problem if you are a Cisco customer.

Also, with Beta4 you'll need to readd your devices, per:
