Do I have to edit the script - so put in the Host-ID and Name?

Nope... no editing is required

Thanx a lot.

My script was not for Python3. But I was told where to find it here.

Runs now.

Now I can try the labs :-)

I get a "struct.error: argument out of range" when I try and run the script

On Python2.7 I get : "Struct.error: integer out of range for 'i' format code"

on python 3.0 I get: struct.error: argument out of range

any ideas ?

Hope it's not too late...

download CiscoIOUKeygen.py
use this command
sudo python2.7 CiscoIOUKeygen.py
copy the key and save in your iourc text file
add this command to /etc/hosts
echo '127.0.0.127 xml.cisco.com'
to /etc/hosts to disable phoning cisco
