What operating system do you use to run GNS3?

Ubuntu 10.04 here (runs very sweet).

Am using Vista, 32 bit, Core2Duo, 1GB RAM...and c7200-advipservicesk9-mz.124-2.T.bin img for 7200 series routers. Performance of my PC goes very bad while running the IOS. Even for a single router my PC getting hanged. Is this pbm is due to pc specifications or OS. Can any one guide me to run the application without losing the PC's performance??? mail me [email protected].

why don't you try using 3600 or 2600 series ios instead 7200.

7200 ios needs a lot ram and cpu

I shifted from Windows 7 64 bit to Ubuntu 64 bit for maximum performance and i am quite happy with that.

The advantage of using ubuntu is that you will have great latency response, less CPU utilization than windows 7 + the Konsole is by far the best terminal program i have used in Ubuntu. Its better than the SecureCRT.
