kaage, good job. Can you tell me, what kind of resources (CPUs, RAM) do you have on the server for it to be able to handle multiple users?

There is 8 GB of RAM and Guad core processor. I haven't much experience of real life performance of this server. However, I have had 45 7200 series routers running concurrently. They were in the idle state and idlepc value was set.

Yes that's right. I don't know why I have wrong path here.

Hm is there something else to configure than in the tutorial? I did it exactly how you wrote it but my vnc client don´t connect to the vnc server :(

unable to connect to 192.168.*.*

You have to disable your Ubuntu firewall or allow connections to port 5901. This step is missing in the tutorial.

Okay the vnc-client connects. But now the screen is grey and the mouse is a black cross. Have you got a tip for this problem?

Thanks :)

There must be some configuration failure regarding VNC. I have seen this kind of screen and cursor with x-window tunneling. Double check your VNC configs...

Hi,

I have had troubles with VNC and I have just moved from VNC to FreeNX. FreeNX is much easier to setup and there is no timeout issues.

With VNC I had issue where user can't connect to the ongoing session after timeout. His/Her processes continued running but user can't see windows etc.

No this kind of issues with FreeNX. I prefer FreeNX nowadays...

Has anyone been able to do this on a Windows 2003-2008 box? Allowing multiple remote desktop sessions to a single GNS3 install?

I haven't but what could be a problem?

Major thing is to create user specific gns3.ini files...

Well - just tried and when one is running GNS3 already, there is a messages about a hypervisor already running and if you want to kill it. So I need to figure out how to overcome that issue.

Read my tutorial first. This issue is resolved by using user-specific ini files. Hypervisor port numbers etc. are allocated for users.

For example:
UserA 7200
UserB 7300
UserC 7400...

Also TCP ports for consoles and UDP NIO ports should be allocated for users. No overlapping ports are allowed to get this working.
