Hi Berezular,

I already read your blog regarding step as per title. Beloe is the my query:

1.) How do u extract the firefly.ova? Do use linux or some linux application? Can i do it using windows also

2.) When we success extract the ova file and change to "monolithicSparse read-write virtual disk" can we just transfer that image to another terminal and open GNS3 and just load it?

Thanks and appreciate your feedback coz i'm interested with your step.

You can you 7zip on both Linux and Windows. On Linux just use the commad:

7z e junos-vsrx-12.1X46-D10.2-domestic.ova

Hi Brezular,

I'm stuck at "VMware Virtual Disk Manager is also included in Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK) that can be download here. A single virtual disk manager utility is also available here."

Can u show me how to use that utilities on Windows platform. I already try install the VDDK but nothing comeout after installation such as icon. Do we need to use cmd to run this application.

Can u show me in windows environment?

kronicklezma,
I rewrote the article, added instructions for running vSRX under VirtualBox. No more issues with missing Ge interfaces. Enjoy!
