Hi there,

I'm running GNS3 on a Windows 7 VM using VMWare Workstation and a Host-Only network adapter.

I've created my topology correctly with the cloud pointing to the correct adapter, and both the adapter and the router interface are on the same subnet. However, both devices cannot ping each other, and I'm failing to understand why. If I configure a loopback adapter on the host and adjust the necessary settings in GNS3 I can communicate without issue, so it appears to be related solely to the "Host-Only network adapter" setup.

I'm not sure if anyone has come across this problem but it's been quite frustrating as I'm essentially trying to get GNS3 to act as a router for a virtual lab.

Thanks,
