I am running the latest build on Linux and when I try to add the Etherswitch to a project I get the message

No IOS image found for platform c3745

There is in fact an image for the c3745 and it is configured and working fine. I am not quite sure where the Etherswitch configuration is kept or how to remedy this but any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi,

I think the EtherSwitch is broken but the good news is that now you can add custom IOS devices in the Preferences. The EtherSwitch config should be located where the gns3 package is installed in the config sub-directory, the name is "ios_etherswitch_startup-config.txt".

Let me know how it goes.

It's funny that you mentioned custom devices because that is exactly what I did. I simply created my own device. One thing that would be nice is if we could change the symbol at device creation time rather than when we add the device to a project.

You can do it now, right click on the device in the list in the preferences and select "Change symbol".
