Hey all
I have searched and I've seen many posts in forums. But I have to face up with a problem.
I have tried every way to save (export, save, save as, save /all, copy run star, etc.) with no success.
I have Windows XP SP2,GNS 0.7, used one router in the lab (3600, 3700). When I saved, The error message from console :

------------------------------------------------------
=>R1 : Dynamips error : 206-unable to extract config of VM 'R1'
-------------------------------------------------------------
How to solve it? Please help me!

PS: When I type command : '#copy run star ', one message occur : ' Destination filename [starup-config] ?'.
Why that is? What I have to do?

Do you use a project? Also don't forget that c3745 has bug and can't save configuration properly.

HI All,

i have GNS3 installed in Windows 7 64bit version.
i had the same problem and unluckly the error was refering to another location , in the C:\Program File(x86)\GNS3.
i got Permition denied.
i went to the directory and allowed full control to that directory and now i can save the config of the routers.

you just use following command before saving file.

Router#write

then router configuration file will be saved on your Temp file. *.cfg

when you open gns3 next time, it will load the *.cfg by itself.

you try it. (my version is 3.0.7.2)
