Anybody get this fixed or figure a way around it??
C:\Unpack>unpack.exe --format ASA8 asa802-k8.bin
'gzip' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
The system cannot find the file specified.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "unpack.py", line 208, in <module>
File "unpack.py", line 146, in unpackASA8
File "shutil.pyo", line 199, in move
File "shutil.pyo", line 91, in copy2
File "shutil.pyo", line 46, in copyfile
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'c:\\docume~1\\admini~1\\locals~1\
\temp\\tmpzum-wt\\vmlinuz'

Qemu is a huge pain in the butt.
Thanks,

aminarab,

Sounds silly, but which version of the unpacker did you download?

It looks like you may have downloaded the Linux version. If you are running windows it would not recognize gzip.

Question, I have a user that uses Gzip to pass files back and forth between her Linux and Windows boxes. She can get Gzip to run on her Windows box but it has to be in the working directory and she is complaining that she doesn't want to put the exe file there. when the exe file isn't in the working directory on her Windows box she gets the error message of "gzip is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file".

Does anyone know of a way to get around this?

Copy file "gzip.exe" in Unpack folder to C:\Windows\system32
You can unpack asa802-k8.bin
But now I can't start them in GNS3

C:\>Unpack\unpack.exe --format ASA7 asa724-k8.bin
Couldn't open asa724-k8.bin

C:\>

it says Couldn't open asa724-k8.bin

asa image file is inside C:\Unpack folder.

Kindly please suggest or share knowledge pls.

I was receiving this same message until I placed the image file in the unpack folder. Make sure you change directory to the unpack folder and that the unpack folder contains the image file. Not sure what else would cause this message.
