Hi Jeremy,
any hope of getting the new version to work?
as others pointed out, it does work in SL (tried in a VM), not in 10.5.8

Hello,

Running Mac OS X 10.5.8 with a an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz CPU and 4 Go of memory.

I'm encoutering the same problem when trying to run GNS3 :

"GNS3 has encountered a fatal error, and will terminate".

I have followed every step of method 1 on this link :

http://blog.gns3.net/2010/03/how-to-run ... /#more-186

Any idea when this could be solved ?

Thanks.

Best regards.

Y.

Hi,

Here is a new test version: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gns-3/ ... g?download

Please let me know if it works on Mac OS X Leopard or any other issue.

I also included qemuwrapper.py in the app.

Thanks,

Hi,

I have the same problem as above I must have been through about 5 or 6 different ways of installing this GUI however I have come to the conclusion that GNS3 will not run on 10.5.8 and will always return a fatal error. However I have it running on Windows 7 with no problem at all which is a shame for OSX.

Regards

Red

and i received a new error from this version

5/30/10 6:15:15 PM GNS3[12353] A Python runtime could be located. You may need to install a framework build of Python, or edit the PyRuntimeLocations array in this application's Info.plist file.

do you have a clue what this means and if i need to edit this file what needs to be changed

thanks

Hi,

I've still issues to make a DMG version that work on both Snow Leopard and Leopard. Mainly because I've only a Snow Leopard installed on my computer.

Maybe this will help you: http://blog.gns3.net/2010/06/making-a-dmg-package/

Hi folks,
The dmg works perfectly on my mac, but unfortunately it's been difficult for me to get the loopback interface working, meaning, I cannot define a cloud which represents my laptop and use it to telnet to the gns3 virtual network. Is there anyone who can do it? Thanks in advance!

Oh and btw, here's my hardware and software:
System Version: Mac OS X 10.6.5 (10H574)
Kernel Version: Darwin 10.5.0

Processor Name: Intel Core i5
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 4 GB
