guys you want to bridge wireless nic in GNS3 ,its really simple
1. get the mac of the wlan
2. under the interface set ip address in the same pool of your internal network
3. here is the secret under the interface type the command : mac-address and the mac of you wlan
4. set static route
that's it ..... simple and tested under winxp ,win7 and linux

i have setup my lab like this

linksys wireless router (192.168.1.1) --- -- wireless nic bridged with loopback adapter (192.168.1.102 gw 192.168.1.1) --- -- GNS router1 fao/o (192.168.1.254) GNS router1 fa0/1 (192.168.2.1) --- XP virtual machine (192.168.2.2)

from my gns router1 i can ping to the internet, but i cannot make my XP virtual machine access the internet. from my linksys router, i already made a static route to 192.168.2.0 network with 192.168.1.254 as my gateway. but when i try to ping f0/1 and my XP virtual machine from linksys router i get RTO.

when i try to traceroute from my laptop going to virtual machine i can see that the packet revolves around the linksys router.. it cannot get till the TTL expires.

what is the problem? any suggestions?

Hello, I am trying to connect GNS3 to my local intranet. I have read or watched alot of the GNS3 configurations.

Do I understand this correctly ? All of the 'interfaces' need to be on the same subnet ?

PC hosting GNS3 -192.168.1.1/24
MS Loopback Adapter -192.168.1.2/24 ( or no IP ? )
Network Bridge - 192.168.1.1 or .2 ?
Router connected to GNS3 cloud - 192.168.1.3/24

Does the loopback need an IP when its connected to the bridge ?
