I have setup a Cisco2600 router with a NM-16ESW in slot1

This gives me FastEthernet1/0 through 1/15

How do I configure these interfaces? I get an error if I enter 'int fastethernet1/0'
And, I don't see anything when I enter 'show run'

Am I missing a step?

I'm not sure I understand your answer. Are you sugesting using a different router? I only have the 2600 IOS. No others.

yes, he is telling U to use a better router, 7200 or 3745 would be a great choice.

you have to download 7200,3745 or 3640 router ios.

so you can configure these routers like switch.

Plz check GNS3 and dynagen documents.
