Hi All,
I had a search for this but couldn't find a solution. I have the following setup that I created with VMWare workstation and GNS.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/31612247@N07/4897103287/ I have used the VMWare NAT option to connect the VM adapter with my host machine. My gateway is 192.168.1.1 and physical NIC is 192.168.1.65. The VMWare NAT tool in network editor has setup NAT using 192.168.200.0 as the subnet for my VM.
I am running GNS on the VM and have created a loopback. I then bridged the VM adapter with the loopback and the IP for this is 192.168.200.1. I created a router in GNS with a cloud connection and the interface for the router is 192.168.200.2.
So far I can ping from the physical NIC, 192.168.1.65 to the bridge, 192.168.200.1, however I'm not able to reach the router, 192.168.200.2. I assume this is because my router doesn't have a route to the 192.168.1.0 subnet and so doesn't forward the packet.
Has anyone used a setup like this before or know if it is possible? Also, does anyone know the best way to connect both networks? If there is a better way to set this up or a better forum to ask this on please let me know.
Cheers,
Conor
