Hi , I am a newbee.. unable to execute "router rip" command. Results in "% Invalid input detected at '^' marker" I am using Windows, IOS image c7200-boot-mz.150-1.M3.bin and following the GNS3 0.5 tutorial for beginners.

Please help !!!!!!!!

Are you trying to type this command in the configuration mode?

Oh yes. I am trying the router rip in config mode. I have attached a snapshot of what I am doing. Please help.

It seems that you are running boot image instead of full IOS. This can be seen from promt Hostname (boot) (config)#.

You have to run fully featured IOS to get everything working.

What is the boot image?
