However, every time I stop then start the device all the RSA keys gets lost. I always save the configuration using the command below before stopping the device.
Is this a known behavior when running ASA in GNS3?
Indeed, is another known "bug". Comes from the way ASA sees the flash. Not sure how to fix this...

Thanks everyone for sharing your knowledge. I have been able to follow the instructions in the posts on this thread and got the ASA working even with ASDM without fiddler. Infact the GNS has been very useful as I have used it to gain confidence configuring ASA from scratch.

Unfortunately, I have been trying to configure webvpn and I discover that qemu crashes once I enable webvpn on any interface. I would really like to know if anyone have used the files in this thread to get webvpn working. If so, I would appreciate some assistance. Thanks in advance.

This is brilliant thanks A LOT. :)

I get an error adding link between ASA and switch. I can add a link to a router but not to switch.

Can you tell me what's wrong and how to fix it? I use 127.0.0.1 for Qemu. The asa boots and I can enter the config etc. Only the link to switch doesn't work. Windows 7. GNS 7.3.

Kind regards.

OK. Fixed it.

The trick is in Qemu put "localhost". Create your topolgy and connect ASA to switch. Save it. Then change the options in Qemu back to "127.0.0.1". Load your topology you just saved and BINGO.

You have the ASA connected to the switch and you can telnet to it.

:)

Happy firewalling.

I get this message when i try to connect to asdm:

The requested URL /admin/public/index.html was not found on this server.

I'm running gns3 0.7.3 on ubuntu, using an XP vmware guest to connect to asdm. Http server is enbled on the ASA. Everything else works except for the asdm part. Is the asdm image supposed to decompress and install the directories and files above since they are not present on flash? My gns3 settings and ASA dir listing shots are attached for more details.

Update:
Tested this on a Win 7 machine. Works perfectly. It looks like it's an OS dependent setup this.
But thanks mate for the wonderful emulation.

I know that, by enabling the WebVPN sometimes work, but most of the times it crashes for some reasons... :(
I'll try to fix it, but seems to keep having those issues without giving a understandably feedback.
I'm not sure why is working in VMWare without any error all the times :)

I also have a "working" image of ASA 8.05, so in a short time I'll prepare it (+post) and probably that one will solve those issues :))
