Post subject: Debian 6 (squeeze) GNS3 0.7.2 cannot fire up QEMU host PC
PostPosted: Sun Feb 06, 2011 4:32 am
I got GNS3 installed via apt-get thus all required packages are straight from the official repository. Then i downloaded the latest GNS3 0.7.3 source and extracted the packages so i can use the qenuwrapper.py from it.

I can start and console into a router or a PIX so i know that dynamips and qemu is working but if i configure a QEMU host with either microcore or tinycore the HOST object starts but i cannot console in nor do i see a port number to console into it in netstat -a

I did use -no-acpi in the options menu and also flagged KQemu but no difference. If i Open QEMU launcher within GNOME and fire up wither image it starts just fine.

What might be the problem?

Thanks.
