I've recently purchased the new SecureCRT 6.7 for linux. Now I'm struggling to integrate it as the console app within gns.

Has anyone gotten this to work yet?

Thanks
Adam

Figured it out

SecureCRT /TELNET /T %h %p >/dev/null 2>&1 &

However, this does not add a title on the tab. I'm still working on that part

I'm still stumped.

Adding the tab title in windows is based on calling the securecrt.vbs script which has the command ...

crt.window.caption = crt.arguments(0)

Anyone know the python equivalent?

I had this same problem. Figured it out and wrote up a how-to here:

Hope this helps!

This is perfect. Exactly what I needed. Thank you for writing that up.

I figured out how to resolve the issue with the script errors and incorrect tab names.

I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit, GNS3 0.8.3 and SecureCRT 7.1 for 64 bit deb.

This is my GNS3 terminal command:
Code:
/usr/local/bin/SecureCRT /script /opt/GNS3/tabname.py /ARG %d /T /TELNET %h %p & sleep 1

And on the same preferences screen tick these two boxes:
Launch terminal windows using the system default shell
Bring console window to front

Clicking Console to all devices works every time now, no matter how many routers I have running.

'Konsole' has everything you need in SecureCRT and its script is integrated to GNS3.

If Konsole had a chat window like SecureCRT which lets you send commands to all tabs at once it would be perfect. I know you can send commands to all tabs with Konsole but the method is not as convenient as SecureCRT's chat window.

Plus I own a licensed copy of SecureCRT so I want it to work and I want to continue to use it.

Update,
I have been tinkering with this a bit more and I have perfected the terminal command for SecureCRT.

Code:
/usr/local/bin/SecureCRT /script /opt/GNS3/tabname.py /ARG %d /T /TELNET %h %p &1 &

Now the delay between opening tabs works and no more script crashes.

Increase the delay in GNS3 terminal settings to 1.5 if you still get errors.

Get the tabnames.py script here: https://tekcert.com/blog/2011/07/09/gns3-and-automatic-securecrt-tab-names

Thanks for the posts. It appears that my configuration is working except for the fact that it does not open in tabs rather separate application instances.

Runnning Ubuntu 12.04(64), SecureCRT 7.03 build 480

Command Line being run:
/usr/local/bin/SecureCRT /script /opt/GNS3/tabname.py /ARG %d /T /TELNET %h %p &1 &

Script is:
# $language = "Python"
# $interface = "1.0"

def main():
objTab = crt.GetActiveTab()
objTab.Caption = crt.Arguments[0]
