Post subject: ASA cannot start when connected to other devices in topology
PostPosted: Mon Jul 04, 2011 7:39 pm
I have an issue. I have to start qemuwrapper from the terminal in order to be able to run it in GNS3 or else emu won't start in gns3.
When I start an asa in gns3 without any connections to other devices then qemu starts and I can console into it. If however the asa is connected to other devices in the topology then all I get is a flash on the screen of qemu trying to start and it doesn't start qemu. the error listed in the terminal is:
Invalid -net type 'udp'
pid: 15818
Renicing to 19
renice: 15818: getpriority: No such process
failed.
If I 'ps |grep qemu' it shows that process.
If I start the asa without any connections and then connect devices to it it's hit and miss (sometimes I can connect without error sometimes not. Sometimes even though connected and interfaces showing up/up I cannot ping the two devices(

If anyone has a solution for this issue and can please help I would greatly appreciate it. All else in gns3 works well except pix and asa but I am more concerned with the asa.
Thanks for your help
