0.8.2-Alpha is unstable software. Do not recommend it to friends please.

anyway :
Edit->Preferences->General->Terminal Settings->Preconfigured..->Telnet->Use

Try this.

I have tried the suggestion. It threw up an error message. See attached file. In fact, I tried all the options in the list. None is working for me.

I am running on Windows 7 professional x64 SP1 in case it matters.

biniman: Try the newest 0.8.2 BETA, as it may be the best solution for you.

Hi apologies for not returning to this link as dont appear to be able to get help as quick!!

I have installed: GNS3-0.7.4-win32-all-in-one & VirtualBox-4.1.8-75467-Win - I am aware that Ive been told I do not need 'Virtualbox' but due to other factors or that 'vpcs' is to do with 'LINUX' even though I am using windows, just totally confused me prior to doing more reading from other expert advice and managed to get on the right path.

My internet connection is via a Residential Netgear box with just 4 Eth ports & wireless capability which allocates address via a built-in Dhcp feature using: 192.168.0.x /24 and when adding the same subnet range as spare ip addresses, my vm machine was detecting 'ip conflict'.

I then changed to another address such as: 192.168.1.x /24 and appears to be ok or even 192.168.3.x /24 subnet ranges..!

I have installed and configured a xp host 'vm machine' via Virtualbox and added the same subnet details above for '1 nic' due to it being a vm xp host machine and used the 'url' below although based on 'windows 2003 using 2 nics'.

- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFFwPIwcmcE
- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzSGN73M18M

Althought I could configure a 2600 router and a 'cloud' and 'connect' successfully showing 'green' circles confirming all ok. I could only ping the router 'itself' and could not ping my 'vm xp machine' or vice versa - Why ?

I though I was supposed to use a 'bridge connection' instead but this did not work..

Im not sure if I should be adding a loopback to link to my actual laptop first of all and then add a 'bridge between loopback and virtual host ethernet adapter'!!

Be sure to check the status of the vm firewall. You may want to turn it off. If you have two NICs on the vm, be sure the NIC connected to the Host-only adapter is the one you are configuring. If you configure the wrong NIC, you will never to the router on the other side of the cloud.
