Hi,

Some bugs I've found... (Till now) ;))

* When you add some routers, "put some wires" between them, an later start capture on one link all works great (Excellent) with "tail -f" but later after you close GNS3 and Wireshark the tail.exe process still remain active in task manager.
The catch is that "tail -f" never dies :)
* Sometimes when you create a new topology and don't save the project from the start point, only the first router has a configuration from base file.

Good catch! Well, I will have to kill it! ;)

Can you detail this one a bit more? if you can with a example to reproduce the issue each time ;)

Thanks!

1) Open GNS3
2) Add 4 routers (Don't start them)
3) Save the project
4) Start the routers

Result: Only the first one will have the base configuration file "baseconfig.txt" inside, the rest are just brand new routers ;)

Hi,

I really cannot have the same issue as you :(

For the tail zombies, I fixed the problem.

Hi,

The movie is out ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdE_Va-mllg

Enjoy!

PS: I forget to say that my baseconfig.txt is not located in GNS3 directory :D
And also, that the trick is to select "Save nvrams" when saving projects...

Excellent, let's go bug hunting now :)

By the way, what software do you use to make videos?

Thanks,

I use Camtasia Studio 7.1 for recordings...
Today I've recorded ~3 hours for some tutorials (for my work colleagues) about how to use videoconferencing systems (TMS, iVIEW, LifeSize, etc), so is a great tool!
I feel like Jeremy Cioara ;))

Ok, I fixed both bugs :)

I'll send you a pre-release version of GNS3 for you to test that everything is as expected before I release in 2 or 3 days.

Ha ha ;))

I'll test it with all I can (Motto from JSLint: Warning! this will hurt your feelings.)

Cheers!
