You probably didn't follow all the steps in the right order...
Put all the files in the same folder (GNS3 installation folder): "Putty.exe", "SuperPutty.exe", "WeifenLuo.WinFormsUI.Docking.dll" and "log4net.dll"
Then add the config files to the same folder: "SuperPutty.settings" (from here)
Delete those files/folders if exist in "My Documents": "C:\Users\<USER>\Documents\SuperPuTTY" and "C:\Users\<USER>\Documents\SuperPutty.settings"

If you still have problems reconfigure SuperPutty like this:

Yes you did all the settings right, but wait a second :)

After a closer look again at your first screen-shoot seems that SuperPutty is not able to catch the window created by PuTTY, and this must come from a security policy activated on your PC (a Antivirus/Firewall/Security tool with some application control/behavior shield)

SuperPutty works this way when is started by GNS3 with single instance ON:
* If no SuperPutty process is started yet, it will start one, but if exist it will just activate its window;
* It will start a PuTTY process with the right command-line;
* After that will wait until PuTTY window with the right process ID is created;
* Then SuperPutty will create a new tab in its window and will try to grab PuTTY's window to have control over it (this is done very fast); <--[Yours is getting stuck here]
* After adjusting the size of PuTTY window and incorporate it under its tab, it will activate that tab to allow input from user;
* Then a small delay of 1,0 - 1,5 seconds is required before starting this cycle again... (it is started from command-line)

It could be that my antivirus/anti-malware is treating SuperPutty as an application hijacker when it tries to grab putty or is it a macro? my antivirus/anti-malware blocks macros too.

Sometimes self defending networks are overzealous.

Try to disable all that security just to see if it works. (Windows UAC, Defense Shields, Sandbox, etc)

SuperPutty should be clean of any malware :)

Or do it on a virtual machine (install a WinXP/7 + GNS3 + SuperPutty) and try with that... anyway this will not solve your problem, but will prove that works :D

Thanks tranzitwww!!! I was so frustrated yesterday because I couldn't get SuperPuTTY to work in GNS3. I'd been watching a CBT Nuggets videos about how to use GNS3. The trainer installed SuperPuTTY but he didn't explain what to do if you ran into problems. I'm so impressed with your knowledge and clear instructions! Keep up the good work!

Thanks ;)

SuperPutty (along with the modified Putty) will be integrated in the next official GNS3 version as the default option for windows users...

Have fun!

Hi,
Sorry for the late answer...

The correct command line is:
telnet = c:\SuperPutty.exe -telnet "127.0.0.1 -P 2001"

Note: Putty.exe should be in the same folder with SuperPutty.exe (or check the config file "C:\Users\<USER>\Documents\SuperPutty.settings")
