Can GNS3 Emulate Cisco IOS-XR and IOS-XE with Supported hardware so that we can prepare for Service provider Track?

Could our beloved Developers look in to that?

Regards,
Venkata S. Dendukuri

That's a pretty interesting question though. I'm surprised no one ever answered.
I guess this means that it is not supported yet, and that there's no plans in the near future related to that implementation.

Hi,

Absolutely no plan for now. That's would be awesome to support them but there is currently no technical solution I am aware of. Maybe Cisco has an IOU version for these?

IOS-XE is just IOS anyway and there is very little different to learn. The architecture may be different but the configuration is just the same, you might as well be using any old 800,1900 or 2900 series router even when you are on an ASR1001 ;)

IOS-XR however is a totally different beast...... JunoOS would be your best thing to learn if you want to get familiar with IOS-XR. ;)

Hi,

I heard about XR4U which is like IOU for IOS-XR but apparently it hasn't been cracked yet.
