that is correct and it's suppose to be like that.

have you tried the ASA image. Please also watch the video you will see that this is also the case and has been mentioned in my previous posts. LOOK at post 9 on this thread I do mention this and it still works.

When i start qemu I do get and error saying that they qemu is not configured correctly but that does not concern me.

hi Franco,

thanks in advance! :) but ASA don't work. PIX never to.
This is the error that I get when I start the simulation:

ASA1: error from server localhost:10525: 209-unable to start instance 'ASA2'
PIX3: error from server localhost:10525: 209-unable to start instance 'PIX3'

What else I can check? I need to make it work!

i really can not see why this might be causing an issue unless I can actually go to your computer as see what is going on.

I would suggest trying vmware fusion with a 10.7 image and see what is going on. There must be something conflicting and have had no issue here.

Let me have a think and get back to you

Hi Nirvana

OK what I have done is complied these for you. All you need to do is install brew as mentioned in my How to and install qemu. (Important it must be version 1.3.0 otherwise it will not work) as it is dependant on this. Once you have installed the latest version of qemu download the files here and in GNS3 point to these files and it should work.

let me know how you get on

great glad it works for you.

I think that this is a great method of integrating qemu into the dmg like they are currently doing and keep things up to date :-)

I see when installing qemu 1.4.0 that the "starting twice needed" procedure is now sorted
