Hi All,

I'm running GNS3-0.8.4-RC2 on Windows XP and ASA842-initrd / asa842-vmlinuz.

I've set Qemu with the following settings and I can successfully run an ASA in GNS3. Perfect.

Initrd: C:\ASA\asa842-initrd.gz
Kernel: C:\ASA\asa842-vmlinuz
Kernel cmd line: -append ide_generic.probe_mask=0x01 ide_core.chs=0.0:980,16,32 auto nousb console=ttyS0,9600 bigphysarea=65536

I can also add another ASA to GNS3 and 'start ASA2' gets it running.

Now the problem: I can console to one device but not the other. How do I run 2 ASA's and run consoles to both.

Also, check the console port on the devices (ASA).

I created a new instance for an ASA under the preferences and I can drop 2 asa's onto the project, I can console to one asa on port 3001 and the other on 3002, both boot fine but when the command prompt comes up I can only administer one asa and the other locks up.

I can't work with both ASA's at the same time.

Hi,

Go to task manager, select each qemu process and select "set affinity" and select different CPU for each qemu(ASA). by default qemu will select CPU0 and when both qemu runs on CPU0 it seems crash and cannot load multiple ASA. my setup is woking fine using XP 64bit to get more memory.
