Hello everybody :)

I'm using GNS3 to emulate some services (http, ftp) in a local network. HTTP server should be accessed remotely through the internet. Thus, I've started by setting a lab made of

-2 PCs (right now I'm only using the software Virtual PC not real servers in order to test connectivity): network 10.0.0.0/8
-A switch.
-A c7200 CISCO Router (with Ethernet interfaces)
-A Loopback adapter installed on my Windows 8 machine: netwiork 192.168.137.0/24
-A hardware Wireless adapter sharing its Wifi internet connection with my Loopback adapter.

Here is a screenshot:

What's working:
-Virtual PCs ping to each other
-Virtual PCs ping to 192.168.137.2 interface.
-Loopback adapter can ping to 192.168.137.2 interface
What's not working:
-e1/0 192.168.137.2 interface cannot ping to Loopback adapter even though Windows recongnizes their network.
-And of course Virtual PCs cannot ping with Loopback adapter

I need to fix what's not working in order to achieve what I need for my lab.

Any help would be appreciated.

Best regards.

I've fixed this. It was just my firewall blocking.

Now I need the ping between my virtual PCs and Windows Loopback adapter. It should work right?

Best Regards

I'm having a similar problem. My actual pc, where GNS3 is running (which is using a loopback adapter to work with my cloud) cannot ping past the router. It can ping the interface that the cloud is connected to, but no further than that. All my routers (simulated in GNS3) can ping each other and they can even ping my cloud/physical pc, but my pc cannot ping past the gateway . . . It's weird! I can't figure it out.

Hello, I published a few moment ago one lab, in this lab I explain how I work the loopback interfaces since in my case VirtualBox, the reason is because I try first work with loopback interfaces natives on Windows, but I dont reach the goal, I try installing loopback interfaces since VirtualBox, work perfect.

In my lab I comment about, to my is not necesary network properties on loopback interfaces, because I use only like a bridges between VirtualBox and GNS3

It is the lab
