When I clicked on the download link it downloaded 0.8.3.1 not 0.8.4. Why? Is it 'cause I'm running 64bit Windows 7?

That just happened to me as well.
Try again and make sure the download link says, "GNS3-0.8.4-all-in-0ne.exe".

Or

Select "Browse all files", select GNS3 and download the latest version.

How to deploy AW+ Router? AW+ Router IOS download in where?

Hi, I'm one of the Software Engineers with Allied Telesis in New Zealand. Unfortunately we're still finalising the distribution of an educational release of AlliedWare Plus. I'll post something here when we've got it finalised.

I'd like to thank Jeremy for his support while we built AW+ functionality into the new release of GNS3, and for incorporating our changes so well and quickly. It's turning into a great tool for us in-house for testing and training and we're looking forward to being able to do more with it in the future. Hopefully the development we've done so far will be beneficial to the overall project.

Cheers

Steve

Updated Debian packages have now been uploaded to http://gns3.serverb.co.uk. NB: These have been built against Debian 7 'Wheezy'

For Ubuntu based distributions, a Launchpad PPA is now available (see here for details)

Hi there,

I am trying to change the Idle PC value in GNS3 0.8.4 but it says " Please select only one router ".

Hence it doesnt allow me to change the value. Can anyone tell me the solution ?

This happens even if I select only one router in the topology.

I can see you have two routers running (not that should stop the process if you only select one)

Suggestion #1

File | Preferences > General settings, [GUI Settings] and check the [x] Draw a rectangle when an item is selected option.

That will make it easier to tell if you have one or two routers selected.

Suggestion #2

Not sure what the problem is, but this might work as a workaround

1. Download Dynamips 0.2.8-RC7 from here https://sourceforge.net/projects/gns-3/ ... community/ (0.2.8 final has a bug that won't let you do the step 4)
2. In GNS3, go to GNS3 Preferences select the Dynamips settings, on the Dynamips tab, change the Executable path to Dynamips to point to the RC7 copy.
3. Click the [Test Settings] button to verify, and then [OK

4. Go to Edit | IOS images and hypervisors, and select the IOS you need the Idle-PC value for, then click the [Auto calculation] button (this doesn't work with Dynamips 0.2.8 final)

5. Once you have a good Idle-PC value, you can change your Dynamips settings back to use 0.2.8 final if you wish.
