tcp4 0 0 127.0.0.1.2501 *.* LISTEN
tcp4 0 0 127.0.0.1.2001 *.* LISTEN
tcp4 0 0 127.0.0.1.7200 *.* LISTEN

Heh. So now I have a problem where if I add an ethernet connection to a cloud object dynamips crashes. Think I'm just going to use version 0.8.5 for a bit. Thanks for the help though.

Hello!I've detected memory leakage in dynamips on Windows 8.1 on my laptop. Checked on PC with Windows 8.1 same issue.
So, if you start a router in you project and then stop you will see that dynamips process still taking RAM but then if you start router again dynamips will take more memory. For example you started router and dynamips took 128mb then you stoped and run again so now dynamips taking 256mb and so on. On Ubuntu 13.10 everything fine
Also I have an issue with one of my projects. When i'm starting topology each router running under own dynamips proccess. On fresh projects only one process running. I think it's because of adding more memory(RAM or NVRAM or flash) to routers. Will try to catch this bug later.
Also I have question. For example on fresh project I added Cisco 3745 with 128mb but when I starting it dynamips taking just 64mb. Added one more Cisco 3745 dynamips taking 128mb. But in project which have issue(watch above) each Cisco 3745 taking 256mb as I set. Why it working like that?))
Waiting for help ;)
On windows installed latest GNS all-in-one 0.8.6. On ubuntu from gns3 ppa.

@ronald_primacom
Try GNS3 Preferences < Dynamips section, [Hypervisor Manager] tab.

Change the IP/Host binding to 0.0.0.0

AM I missing something VERY obvious?

I just downloaded the 64-bit standalone Windows version of GNS3. I've looked thru the folder but can't seem to find a file that says "install", setup", or anything "Windows-like" that would install the app on my PC!

So, how does one get the GNS3 app on their PC? I recall doing this a few years ago, but don't recall the process.

Any suggestions?

@ bxpeters

I'd recommend using the all-in-one download unless you are very familiar with how all the bits of GNS3 work together. Come to think of it, I'd recommend using the all-in-one download - period. The stand-alone download comes in zip format with all the files you need - but you'd better know where to put those files and how to do all of the things the all-in-one installer does before you start, because that's all you get - an "archive that includes, Dynamips, Pemu, Putty, VPCS", while the all-in-one is an "installer for ....everything"
