Hi,
when I run gns3 with the command sudo gns3 (in ubuntu 12.04) I don’t can add a virtual machine . I view the error “Virtual Box Machine Windows 7 seems to not exist, please check”. :( How can do …?
PS : if I run gns3 standard I can use virtual machine, but I need root access.

To begin, run VirtualBox outside GNS3 and make sure you can run the "Virtual Box Machine Windows 7" from the Oracle VirtualBox application. If you get that working, shut it down and try again from GNS3.

I need to run a Virtual machine in gns3 that can connect to Internet. Therefore I need to enable root permission in ubuntu with $sudo gns3, and it is in this case that there is the problem with the Virtual machine in Virtual Box

Running GNS3 as root is not strictly required, if you have installed GNS3 from the GNS3 PPA (topic6666.html) these packages will automatically give Dynamips the appropriate permissions to run as a non-root user.

If you are running from the GNS3 source package, you can set Dynamips to have the appropriate permissions as detailed in this howto: topic6251.html
