Hello

I am trying to use ATM between two IP routers. With R1 I can ping R2 on the other side of the network, but GNS3 does not let me capture the packets on R1:a1/0 (message error: packet capture is not supported on this link type), see image attached.

I want to generate traffic from R1 to destination to R2 and analyse the performance. I can do It by adding a router behind R1 and R2 and generate the traffic from the router behind R1 (which I called R3) to the router behind R2 (called R4), it works if I capture the packets between R1 and R3, and between R2 and R4, but the performance is not the same. Is there an other way to capture packets on an ATM network ?

File comment: R3 and R4 are the router added to be able to capture the packets on g0/0, as it is ot possible on a1/0.

Hello,

What I can tell is that capturing on ATM links is not supported by the current version of GNS3. However I have plan to allow that in a future version.

There is maybe a workaround to your problem but right now I cannot think about one.
