Dear all,

it is february 28 and i don't have the link to the v1 early release on my member account. Maybe i am missing something as no one seems to be asking about it.

Thanks for you help.

You have missed an email.... I received this on 20 Feb

As a result of the survey, we wanted to change a couple things before the first release of the software. We want to make sure that our first showing is a strong showing, so Jeremy and myself have agreed that it is best to push the release back into March in order to make sure IOU integration is done properly.

We would much rather put out a software that is late but has proper integration than to release something that isn't ready.

Almost the end of March. Will we see it this month or maybe later?

Seems like it, only few hours left until it's April 1 (at least in my timezone)

Edit:
Found it on the members download page.

It is unethical to charge a fee for a modified GPLv3 software and not share the source code of the software for which you are charging the fee.

Jeremy and Stephen aren't charging for the software, but are using the funding to help develop the software... see http://www.gns3.net/early-release-faq/

The source code is and will always be available.

Sure, can you please tell us where we can get the code from? The one from GITHUB is different.
From my experience, it should be: hey guys, this is the software you donated for. Here is the source code, as per GPLv3. Together, forever.

As per GPLv3, the fee is not defined: it can be donation, commercial license, it does not matter. As long as has different features with no source code it is still unethical.

Is this the case of this release?
