Hello NetGeeks,

I see lot of people are having issue with IOU License though its obvious that License is provided only to Cisco Employees.
I can generate a License Key for you.
Just post me your hostname and hostid of VM.

Hello guys,

People having the following hostname an hostid use the iourc file that I am attaching.

hostname- gns3-iouvm
hostid- 00000000

Reply if it works or I will try to generate another key.

Nirav Dave.

Hi Manju,

Yeah there is a step by step procedure to generate a key
1.First of all you must have a VM with linux ( I used Web IOU )
2.Change hostname and hostid of that VM to your hostname and hostid of GNS3 VM.
3.Once its done use CiscoIOUKeygen.py which I have uploaded in one of the posts.
4.Execute the file.

There you go.! You have your License.

As long as hostname and hostid of the VM is same i.e hostname- gns3-iouvm
hostid- 00000000. License will remain same. Have fun .!

Regards,
Nirav Dave.

HI Nirav,

I have installed Alpha release on Win 7 but for some reason the license generator crack isn't working for me. It kept on throwing error to which I have no clue. Does Win7 even have the concept of hostid ?
I thought of implementing your solution of installing Linux in a VM with hostname same as Win 7 but I have no clue on hostid on native machine. Isnt license is generated only for host machine and in this case license created for VM wont work for native machine.

Quote:
When I ran license generator in Win 7 , i got error
"CiscoIOUKeygen.py", line 12, in <module>
ioukey=int(hostid,16)
ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 16:
