Hi,

I agree with you. Is there any alternatives coming soon like emulation of cisco 3640 switches which will be helpfull for our certifications.

If any one know about any switching emulator methods ,kindly let me know.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi,
This is cool posting even though we can simulate NM-16ESW in GNS3 , but we can check many features. I hope very soon we will get solution for this. As switch being very essential for all certifications.

Regards,
Praveen

If some one know of how to emulate all the switch features kindly let us know. I want to try our port Security function & EAP.

They ve released the new version of GNS3 and i am very disappointed bcoz their is no dedicated switching included in it. Means we cant use high end switches like the way we use routers. WE ve to stick with 3640 or look for the alternative

Sorry but as it has been said many time, it is currently impossible to emulate Cisco switches.

Cheers,

Guys,

Bridge using your Eth interfaces to real switches. They DO NOT cost too much on eBay and basically give you a full CCIE lab for a few hundred bucks.

Lots of instructions here on the forums for that type of setup.

Enjoy what these guys have done to even get GNS3 to it's current state!
