Dear All,
In spite of giving much effort in making successful ping between a real windows7 pc and virtual router in GNS3 Topology,I became unsuccessful to do it.
steps followed:-
1.windows firewall disabled.
2.microsoft loopback adapter added (ip-192.168.1.10/24,gw-192.168.1.1)
3.router added in gns3 and configured (ip in interface fa0/0-192.168.1.1/24,no shut given)
4.cloud added and its loopback added to router fa0/0 interface

Kindly help me resolve the problem.
Thanking you.

Dear,

This is described in lot of discussions and Youtube too...

1. Are you permitted pings in your win7, by default its denied.
2. the best way your ms loopback bridge togeather with your physical NIC on your PC.
3. ms loop int and physical NIC addresses stays dhcp, configure static IP on bridge interface (can be dhcp too)
4. reboot
4. in gns create topo, cloud with ms loopback
5. router connect to cloud
6. configure router interface towards to cloud from the same network IP address as your real PC on bridge NIC
7. thats it, everything works great, ping even internet if router will be configured properly. Now you have real Internet in GNS!

Pings:
from cmd:
Allow pings:
netsh firewall set icmpsetting 8 enable

Disable pings:
netsh firewall set icmpsetting 8 disable
