Hi,

Downloaded and adjusted this Mcast lab to my GNS3 setup. When starting QEMU1 I do not get a console to open. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

That version of Qemu host is a Tinycore 3.2 and by default is no console activate (by the way, on Microcore brezular was too kind and he did it for us)
You have to use the Qemu VGA Window for all operations.

Thanks Jeremy, nice video ;))

Its working just fine.. Only I had to change the router from the topology and configured according to the R1.cfg file. Thats it..

Excellent effort Jeremy.. Thanks a lot..

Hi!

I get two errors when I try to load the topology:

1. Warning: Could not connect to qemuwrapper server qemu 127.0.0.1:10525

2. Warning: Could not connect to dynamips server 127.0.0.1:7200

I have not worked with Qemu before and the Qemu Test also fails. It will be great if someone could help me on this!

Configure the VLC for multicast streaming using the configuration in this URL

Well, most likely ignorance. It's the same reason people continue to use IE and not one of the other more powerful browsers. Look at it from this angle:

If an ignorant person goes out and buys a new PC and it comes packaged with a Media player (and one that looks as 'beautiful' (yeah, that's subjective) looking as Windows Media Center), why would they bother to go out looking for something 'better' while to them they already have the 'best?'

Just my $0.02

Cheers,
ak.
