Hello,

I've created up to 6 logical VMnet interfaces in VMware workstation. However, when i added a host (or cloud), i can only assign 4 VMnet interfaces plus the physical interfaces in the laptop. I want to simulate 6 hosts in different networks (eg.WAN, Branch office), where each host is assigned a VMnet interface configured as "Host-only" type. Because i only have 4 VMnets, i can only simulate 4 hosts not 6.

Are the number of logical interfaces limited in GNS3? Or is it a bug or what?

Sorry for disturbing, i solved the issue by simply restarting windows and re-opened gns3.

Just for future references, adding a router and disabling routing



works a lot better than adding host if you're trying to achieve pure traceroute or ping tests.

Change the symbol into a host and your router will work as a normal PC. Make sure to enable the interface and configure the IP address of the interface too.
