Hi,

This is a great news for us, Qemu 1.1RC1 is the fist version officially supporting UDP tunnels (the technology allowing communications between Qemu, Dynamips, Vbox etc. ). No more patch to apply!

Hi,

Great news, but does it covers also the rest of patches?
Honestly I only trust v0.11.0 ;))
With that one I'm fully confident that it will work as expected (and as the manual indicates)
I say that because Qemu v0.13.0 was very disappointing with a lot of nasty bugs...

Also will be great to have a windows version to test it (You do the magic)
By the way how do you compile it :D

Cheers!

I agree 0.13.0 was disappointing ... Hopefully the next final release will be ok. For sure, it will need lot of testing. For our all-in-one package we will still propose Qemu 0.11.0 by default and later add Qemu 1.1 as an option.

This is a bit of a challenge and someone is working on it ;)

Someone is on qemu.exe, I myself tried and failed. Some tutorials say to ignore glib, but it's tied to the code, and __thread (thread local storage) is not available on cygwin. I built one version in the past with mingw, but heck, it takes time to get it right. We need a good tutorial and we need to build all qemu targets (at least sparc and i386).
