It seems that dynamips.unstable.exe also needs cyguuid-1.dll and cyggcc_s-1.dll so I added them dynamips-0.2.10-x86-cygwin.zip and re-uploaded.

I'll push this into our Windows version (I have to re-upload anyway because I've included the wrong version of Dynamips).

Thanks,

Hi,

@flaviojs :

for beginning, thank you for your works on dynamips.

Is it possible to move temporary files of dynamips into a temporary directory ? Or, more easy i think, could you add a tag at the names of temporaries files (t_, for example) and the regulars files (f_, for example) ?

@Raizo62

Well, first of all, what do you consider temporary files?
From what I remember there are:
  • log files - not temporary, but not necessary
  • work files - all kinds of device memory and auxiliary files; most should be kept (permanent storage like rom/flash/...), but it still works if you clear them and setup the router configs (like GNS3)
  • lock files - if they still exist after dynamips exits, then there was a leak

Files that are deleted when you close GNS3. My idea is to make a backup of the project without to close GNS3 and without big temporaries files.

For info. GNS3 deletes project files that match the following lines when closing a project/GNS3.

"*ghost*"
"ilt_*"
"*_lock"
"*_log.txt"
"*_rommon_vars"
*_ssa"

If my router has "ghost" as hostname ?
Use a tag name isn't more safe ?
