Post subject: Which IOS image is correct for a 2621XM router?

I am trying to add an IOS image for a Cisco 2621XM router to follow along with the CBT Nuggets route videos, but I don't have the exact image the person in the video is using.

He uses something along the lines of C2600-adventerprisek9-mz 124-125.bin

The closest I have is C2600-adventerprisek9-mz 124-19.bin

I have a probably 40-60 images under the C2600 category, but for some reason none of them that I have tried are allowing me to enable frame-relay - They won't even recognize the command "int serial 0/0.1 multipoint" from global configuration mode, noting that it is not recognizing the 'multipoint' syntax.

Once I get into the sub-interface, there are no commands that even begin with "frame-relay"

Anyone know of the correct IOS for a 2621XM, or a different model I can use as a layer 2 / layer 3 Router?

That's because you forgot about command:
Code:
R1(config-if)#encapsulation frame-relay

Hello ande0255,

I am also watching the CBT Nuggets for CCNP Route, in my case I am using Cisco router 2691 with this IOS image:

c2691-advipservicesk9-mz.124-15.T6.bin.

and I had the same problem as you. Well, after check/read blogs, Cisco web sites.... etc.... I never found the answer, until today, you want to cry after this, because it's pretty simple is JUST one command. These are the steps I did:

1- Router(config)#frame-relay switching ==> After this command it started work.
2- Router(config)#interface serial 0/1.100 multipoint.

I hope this can help you if you have not received the answer of your inquiry, if not, keep the command in min for future Frame Relay labs.

Regards,

How to make Windows XP look like Windows Vista or Windows 7 without download those Operating systems? So I have an old computer that definitely can not run Windows 7 or Vista. So I was wondering if there is any way (any good software that does not include spywares/trojans) that can make my Windows XP system looks like Windows vista or windows 7?

I don't know if this is allowed. If not, please delete this post mods.
