Hi, I'm Alex

It's a pleasure to help you. Nowadays I've successfully installed IOS XRv in my GNS3 running on Linux Ubuntu. If you need any help, please let me know, so we can work someday through an application like Team Viewer

Regards

Alex

Hi,
I am facing similar problem.
I have ubuntu 14.04

when I give the 'list' command in command line (CLI), I can confirm that the XR is running in GNS using VBOX.
However, I cannot console to the XR routers as it console doesn't open.
Console for other IOS routers are working just fine.

I tried using putty telnet to the 127.0.0.1 and port 3502 (or whatever port it shows in 'list' command of GNS CLI), but putty says connection refuse.

Please help.

Regards,
Ved

Actually the default settings work. Just import the .ova in VirtualBox, then configure the VM in the GNS3 preferences (don't forget to enable console support), drop it on the scene, start and use the console to connect to it. Easy! All you need is lot of RAM to create a decent network :)

Also, the VM uses quite a lot of CPU power when booting (until you get the "SYSTEM CONFIGURATION COMPLETED" message).

Thanks!
