Post subject:  ICMPv6 Type 134

Hi,

I'm doing a lab to analyze the IPv6 protocol on CISCO and Microsoft networks, but I came across with the following problem.

I´m testing the Router Advertisement/Router Solicitation (ICMPv6 type 134 and 133) to use Stateless auto-configuration in windows 7.

The Windows Client send ICMPv6 Type 133 (Router Solicitation) packets every time I use the ipconfig /renew6 command. But the router never sends ICMPv6 Type 134 packets...

I try to change the RA interval to 5 seconds... But i still dont get Router Advertisements

This is my router config:

The Windows 7 VM is directly connected to FA0/0 on router.

I tried cisco routers 7200 and 3600

The cisco website says that RA is enabled by default ... I do not know if it's a router configuration problem or GNS3 issue ...
